Weekly Roundup

This week I’ve finished one book, started one more and managed to put out my top books read in 2021! Read on to find out more!

This Week’s Posts:

Tuesday: Top Ten Books Read This Year (2021)

Thursday: Mini Reviews: Inside-man and Reaper

This Week’s Reading:

This week I finished reading The Sea Watch, the seventh book in the Shadows of the Apt series by Adrian Tchaicovsky. While I intended to take a break from the series to focus on other books, I started reading Heirs of the Blade, the next book in the series. I haven’t really been as much into Heirs of the Blade to be honest, but the series is in such a familiar place to me now that it’s an easy read.

I continued reading Semiosis by Sue Burke, finding the sci-fi and social concepts very interesting, but the way it’s presented a little less compelling. Mixed on this one so far, but the positive outweighs the negative.

I also made a small start to one of my SPFBO books, and put the Bone Shard Emperor on hold for now.

The Slow Read Through The Big Book Of Modern Fantasy

In which I read and review at least one short story a week from The Big Book of Modern Fantasy, edited by Ann and Jeff VanderMeer.

The holidays have made this one a little difficult to get to, will hopefully get back on track soon.

Next Week’s Posts:

Probably only one review will get posted next week, likely to either be Mickey7 or The Scarab Path.

Next Week’s TBR Shortlist (Not including SPFBO books):

This week I picked Heirs of the Blade from the top row of my TBR shortlist.

Here’s a link to my last Weekly Roundup, if you wish to compare the two.

As usual, let me know if there’s anything there you’d recommend!
